ArtSpam Favourites: May 2022
This month has been fun-ish. Like, there were good bits and odd bits and a whole lot of frustration as well. And this was in the art world which was rather disappointing. I’m not normally disappointed but the art that I’ve seen this month was overshadowed by the places I went to. The Prado museum is considered to be one of the best art galleries in the world. However, I found this not to be the case. I was confronted by some stunning work by Velasquez which was hella worth it. But in was disappointed that that the staff were so rude to the visitors, alarmingly so. The Prado doesn’t let you photograph the art, possibly for copyright reasons which is fine. But the staff were very aggressive in enforcing that. Too aggressive I must say. I did, however, have a much better time at the Reina Sofia but that place is huge I needed much more time in Madrid to see all of art there, like it was insane. So without much further ado (and thanks for staying with me this far!)
