ArtSpam Favourites: October 2021

October has been a great month in terms of art, who knew i’d get to see so much! there was first the fabulous Hokusai Exhibition: Hokusai The Great Picture Book of Everything at The British Museum! Article to follow next week!

Then we had the surprise of Japan House hosting a design event based on the design of their first Olympics in 1964. They were the the first Asian nation to host the olympics! its free to see but be quick its only on until the 7th of November!

My next excursion was back to that sacred ground of Contemporary Art, The Hayward Gallery at The Southbank, Mixing It Up: Painting Today, I was most intrigued to see artwork by the fabulous, understated but little known artist Caroline Coon, who is featured in this post!

Finally we had my yearly excursion to the Natural History Museum for the fantastic Wildlife Photographer of The Year Award which is always worth a visit! the Exhibition is on until June 2022, so you have plenty of time to go and see it, and experience the great wonder that is the Natural World!
